The Filters panel in your catalog lets you narrow down your releases by a range of criteria — from genre and release type to distribution status, dates, payees, and more. You can combine multiple filters to find exactly the releases you're looking for.
| Note This guide uses Digital Releases as the example. The same Filters panel is available across other catalog views (such as Tracks), though the available filters may vary slightly by view. |
Opening the Filters panel
- Open Catalog from the left-hand sidebar.
- Under Products, select Digital Releases.
- Click the filter icon to the right of the search bar to open the Filters panel.
- Expand any filter, set your criteria, and the release list updates to match.

Available filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Distribution Status | Show releases by their current distribution state (for example, draft, delivered, or taken down). |
| Release Date | Filter by the release date, or a range of dates. |
| Creation Date | Filter by when the release was created in Revelator, or a range of dates. |
| UPCs | Paste one or more UPCs (separated by commas) to pull up specific releases. |
| Type | Filter by release format: EP, Album, Single, or Compilation. |
| Genres | Show only releases in the genre(s) you select. |
| Payees | Filter by the payee(s) associated with the release. |
| Metadata Language | Filter by the release's metadata language. |
| Archive Status | Show active or archived releases. |
| Client | Filter by client — useful if you manage releases across multiple clients or sub-accounts. |
| Smart Links | Toggle on to show only releases that have a Smart Link. |
| Tip Filters stack. Combine several at once — for example, Type Single + a specific Genre + a Release Date range — to narrow a large catalog down quickly. |
Example: filtering by genre
- Open the Filters panel (see above).
- Expand Genres.
- Select the genre(s) you'd like to view. The release list updates to show only matching releases.
