YouTube Music Art Track Ingestion Fails but Content ID Delivery Succeeds

Modified on Tue, 28 Jul at 3:17 PM

When you distribute to YouTube Music and YouTube Content ID, the Content ID ingestion can succeed while the YouTube Music art track ingestion fails. When that happens, your release falls into default of YouTube’s content commitment requirements.

This happens because YouTube has to coordinate the processing of the Content ID sound reference alongside the art track sound reference.

What to do in these cases

Tip Revelator monitors for these cases daily and will fix the issue for you. You don’t need to take any action unless you want to resolve it faster yourself.

To resolve the issue yourself, redeliver your release to YouTube Music.

In rare cases, the redelivery fails again. If that happens, follow these steps:

  1. Take down the Content ID release.
  2. Redeliver the YouTube Music release, then wait until you confirm it has processed correctly.
  3. Redeliver the Content ID release.
