Before you upload a release, check that your audio and cover art meet the requirements below. Files that match these specs upload smoothly and are less likely to cause problems at inspection or delivery. Revelator supports high-resolution audio, including files mastered at up to 24-bit / 192kHz.
At a glance
| Asset | Supported formats |

| Audio (Dolby Atmos) | ADM BWF (.wav) — see Dolby Atmos file technical requirements |
| Cover art | JPG, JPEG, PNG, JFIF |

| Requirement | Spec |
|---|---|
| File type | WAV (or FLAC) |
| Channels | 2 channel (stereo) |
| Sample rate | 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, and 192kHz |
| Bit depth | 16-bit or 24-bit |

| Tip Upload your original HD master rather than downsampling it yourself. If your file has a higher resolution than a DSP accepts, we automatically downsample it for that DSP. Files are never upsampled. |
High-resolution audio badges
DSPs such as Apple Music, Amazon Music, and TIDAL show a high-resolution badge on qualifying releases. To qualify, every track in the release must meet that DSP's HD Audio requirements (typically 24-bit). For the full DSP-by-DSP breakdown, see Delivering HD Audio.
Audio (Dolby Atmos)
Dolby Atmos mixes have different requirements from stereo files, and the specs above don't apply. See Dolby Atmos file technical requirements for the DSP-specific specs, and Delivering Dolby Atmos music: a complete guide for the full workflow.
Cover art
We support JPG, JPEG, PNG, and JFIF. Your cover art must be:
- Square
- Less than 10 MB
- At least 1400px wide (3000px is recommended for best results)
Your cover art cannot contain:
- Any text other than the release title and/or artist name
- Web URLs, social media handles/icons, or contact information
- Sexually explicit imagery
- Third-party logos or trademarks without express written consent from the trademark holder
| Warning There is no automated content check on artwork. A human inspector reviews your cover art during release inspection, and non-compliant art can cause your release to fail inspection. Check these requirements before uploading. |
