The VIP label lets you flag your most important payees so your team can spot them at a glance, in the Payees list and in the Inspection queues in Revelator.
What does the VIP label actually do?
VIP is a label, not a feature. Marking a payee as VIP doesn't change their permissions, payments, or statements. It's a visual marker, so you and your team can recognize your top-priority payees wherever they appear.
| Note Only you and your team members can see the VIP status. Payees never see it. |
Where to find it
You'll find the VIP star icon wherever payees are listed, starting with the main Payees list:
- Go to Royalties → Payees.
- Look for the star icon next to each payee's name.

Step 1: Mark a payee as VIP
- Find the payee you want to flag in the Payees list.
- Click the star icon next to their name.
A filled gold star means the payee is VIP. An empty (outline) star means they're Standard. To switch a payee back to Standard, click the star again.

Step 2: Filter for VIP Clients
Once a payee is VIP, you can filter for their content elsewhere in Revelator. For example, in Distribution → Inspection:
- Open the Filters panel with the funnel icon at the top right of the list.
- Scroll to the VIP toggle near the bottom of the filter list.
- Switch it on.
The list shows only items tied to your VIP payees, and a VIP chip appears below the search bar to show the filter is active. A small gold star badge appears next to each VIP payee's name in the results. Hover over it to see the "VIP" tooltip.
