FAQ

Which platforms are supported in UGC Analytics?

We currently track video and user-generated content (UGC) performance across YouTube Content ID, TikTok, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), and Vevo. These platforms are now fully integrated into both Consumption and Engagement sections in Revelator Pro.

What’s the difference between Consumption and Engagement data?

  • Consumption shows how often your music is played or viewed. This includes metrics like views, streams, and downloads.
  • Engagement reveals how fans interact with your content—such as likes, shares, video creations, comments, watch time, and skip rate.

What are “Types of Views”?

“Types of Views” categorize how your music is consumed through video:

  • Ad-Supported Video: Standard monetized videos on platforms like YouTube or Vevo.
  • Short Video: Includes short-form videos like TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Claimed UGC Revenue: Revenue generated when fan-created videos use your music and are monetized through rights management tools like Content ID.

This breakdown is especially helpful when evaluating how your catalog performs across different UGC formats.

Are YouTube Shorts included in the data?

Yes—if the Short uses your audio in an eligible way that qualifies for monetization through YouTube Content ID. For more information, see YouTube’s official guide.

What engagement metrics are available?

In the Engagement section, you can analyze:

  • Watch Time
  • Video Creations
  • Likes
  • Shares
  • Comments

How often is the data updated?

UGC and engagement analytics are refreshed daily, just like streaming analytics.

Can I export this data?

Yes. All tables can be exported as CSV files with up to 1,000 rows of detailed analytics. This allows you to share reports with artists, teams, and external partners.

Do Artist and Label portals have access?

Yes. Both Artist Portals and Label Portals can view UGC analytics. Payee Portals do not currently have access.
