Use Revelator Pro to upload and distribute Dolby Atmos audio to Apple Music, providing your listeners with an immersive, multidimensional sound experience.

What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is an advanced audio technology that allows sound to move around the listener in a 3D space, including overhead, creating a fully immersive audio experience.

1. Enabling Dolby Atmos for Your Clients

Start by enabling Dolby Atmos for yourself and your clients:

  • Account Setup: Go to Account Settings, navigate to Client Features, and click the enable button to turn on Dolby Atmos. Set a track limit if needed to manage costs, which resets on the 1st of each month. Currently, limits are set globally for all clients. However, soon you’ll have the ability to enable Dolby Atmos and manage limits on a per-client basis.
  • Cost Control: Use the limit settings to control your monthly expenses, and adjust these limits as needed throughout the month. Monitor usage in real-time, and receive a detailed report with your monthly invoice to help you manage costs effectively.

2: Creating a New Release That Includes Dolby Atmos

To include Dolby Atmos in new releases:

  • Step-by-Step: When creating a new release, add Dolby Atmos to any track in the track list. Review all requirements for Dolby Atmos audio to be accepted by stores and upload your file under the Dolby Atmos tab.
  • Create & Distribute: Once everything is set up, finalize the release creation, and distribute it to stores, starting with Apple Music.

3. Adding Dolby Atmos to an Existing Release

To add Dolby Atmos audio to releases already live on stores:

  • Step-by-Step: Open a release from your catalog, select the track you want to update, and use the Dolby Atmos tab to upload your Dolby Atmos file. Ensure the duration matches your stereo file exactly to avoid delivery issues. Assign a unique ISRC for the Dolby Atmos track, distinct from the stereo version.
  • Important: If the release is already live, it must be taken down from stores supporting Dolby Atmos (currently Apple Music) before redelivery.

Key Features:

  • Upload & Distribute: Easily upload Dolby Atmos tracks and distribute them directly through Revelator Pro.
  • Enhanced Audio Quality: Offer a superior listening experience with enhanced spatial accuracy, delivering sound from all directions.
  • Integrated Workflow: Manage both Dolby Atmos and stereo tracks seamlessly within Revelator Pro’s intuitive interface.

Availability:

Currently, Dolby Atmos distribution is available exclusively to Apple Music. Releasing your music in Dolby Atmos increases your chances of being featured in Apple’s spatial audio playlists and gaining editorial support. Dolby Atmos releases will also display a special badge on the album detail page on Apple Music.

Pricing:

  • $15.00 per track for Dolby Atmos upload and storage.
  • $0.50 per Dolby Atmos delivery per track. Each Dolby Atmos track must be delivered alongside a stereo track.

Track Limit Settings:

To control your monthly spend, you can set a limit on the number of Dolby Atmos tracks uploaded across your account each month. Limits reset on the 1st of each month, and a detailed billing report will be provided to help manage costs and bill customers accordingly.

Options Include:

  • Set a Limit: Specify the maximum number of Dolby Atmos tracks that can be uploaded per month.
  • No Limit: Allow unlimited Dolby Atmos track uploads.

Adjust these settings any time from the Client Features section of your Account Settings.
