Although Revelator's services and staff will not be slowing down during the December 2022 / January 2023 holiday season, most DSPs will be operating with very limited staff with the result that:
- Any request needing the DSP staff's assistance will take significantly longer to be processed.
- Deliveries will take significantly longer to go live or update.
We therefore advise you to plan ahead and deliver as early as possible to avoid any issues meeting your desired release dates. Here are additional delivery guidelines for Apple & Spotify.
APPLE MUSIC / ITUNES
If you plan on releasing music on Apple Music and the iTunes Store between November 25, 2022, and January 6, 2023, remember to check the following delivery deadlines.
Ensure that Apple receives all deliveries by 11:59 p.m. PST on the respective date.
Music delivered after these deadlines may not be available on the desired release date.
Due to the high volume of deliveries and updates we receive during this time of year, we do not recommend making changes between December 19, 2022, and December 26, 2022.
Make sure to submit any important content, pricing changes, or clearance changes by the respective deadlines noted in this message.
SPOTIFY
For content scheduled to go live during the festive period in December (24th of December until the 3rd of January including weekends) please ensure everything is delivered in line with the SLG (5 Business Days for inserts and 2 Business Days for updates and takedowns), Metadata Style Guide, and Infringement Guidelines, taking into consideration the reduction in business days over this time.
Any content delivered outside of this time frame is at risk of not being live on time. For any special campaigns during this period, please pay particular attention to the required lead time. All high-priority releases should be checked in advance of the release date in Spotify Catalog Manager. Our automated ingestion process will continue to pull your content daily from our server as normal throughout the festive period.
Spotify will have reduced staff resources over this time meaning the level of operational support will be lower than usual.
